Dark plum in color with a dark garnet rim.

Nose of wild cherry, pomegranate, blueberry, a subtle smokiness, black pepper, and spice

Full bodied with medium plus tannins and wide cascading legs

Complex and dry showing bold notes of spice, black pepper, pomegranate, cranberries, and cherry cola. Lingering finish with more herbal tones while showing a bit of oak, vanilla, and green bell pepper

13% ABV

Rosé of Cabernet Sauvignon and Tannat.

Grapes harvested of the Yadkin Valley AVA.

Fermented and aged in stainless steel.

Salmon in color.

Bouquet of strawberries, cherries, cranberries, and spice.

Dry, crisp, medium bodied with subtle tannins.

Notes of cranberries, crabapples, raspberries, orange blossom honey, pomegranate, early season honeydew melons, and a delicate mineral finish.

Our wine tonight is the award winning Merlot from Parker-Binns Vineyard in Tryon, North Carolina.

Vintage 2017.

Estate grown Merlot.

Tryon Foothills wine region.

Dark ruby in color with a soft garnet rim.

Decanted for one hour.

Soft bouquet of blackberry jam, red plum, tobacco, vanilla, and cedar.

Long slow cascading legs.

Medium to full bodied and velvety with lush tannins.

Dry yet fruity and complex with notes of red plums, dark cherries, raspberries, dried figs, pomegranate, boiled peanuts, damp forest, Earl Grey tea, and a lingering earthy finish.

Our wine tonight is the King’s Mountain Rosé from Overmountain Vineyards in Tryon, North Carolina.

Fermented of 100% Merlot grape.

Vintage 2017.

The 2017 growing season in the Tryon Foothills was challenging with overly excessive rainfall.

Gorgeous color of light rust or red-orange.

Fruity nose, hints of strawberries, raspberries, honeydew melons, and rose petals.

Crisp on the palate, with big citrus notes, hints of pink grapefruit, cranberry, tangerine, and lime, fading to a dry creamy finish.

Our wine tonight is the Rosé from Parker-Binns Vineyard in the Tryon Foothills.

Rosé of estate Merlot.

Light salmon in color.

Cold pressed. Provençal Style.

Nose of fresh sliced strawberries, blood oranges, and spring floral.

Light and crisp.

Dry on the palate, notes of strawberries, cranberries, lemon drops, pink grapefruit, watermelon, apple blossoms, and honeysuckle.

13% ABV.

Maggie – Parker-Binn’s Vineyard

Our wine tonight is the 2017 Maggie (Muscat) from Parker-Binn’s Vineyard in the Tryon Foothills.

Nose of pink grapefruit, lime, peach, brandy, plus white lily.

Off dry, bright and crisp.

Bursting with tropical notes on the tongue, mango, orange, pink grapefruit, hints of lemon, lime, and star fruit fading to a lingering complex finish reminiscent of juicy fruit gum.

Varietal: 100% Muscat Giallo

Pea Ridge Red – Parker-Binns Vineyard

Our wine tonight is the non-vintage Pea Ridge Red from Parker-Binns Vineyard and Winery located in North Carolina’s Tryon Foothills. A blend of dual vintages of estate Chambourchin masterfully bottled to produce an expressive red.

A nose of cola and over ripe red berries, tart raspberry on the tongue and a lingering earthy finish. Beautiful dark ruby in color and high acidity producing a full bodied wine with great legs.

We have a real fondness for regionally grown Chambourchin and this offering from Parker-Binns doesn’t disappoint.

Maggie – Parker-Binns Vineyard

Our wine tonight is the Maggie from Parker-Binns Vineyard in the Tryon Foothills. This 2017 off dry white is produced from 100% Muscat Giallo.

Soft citrus on the nose, tropical flavor notes on the tongue with a lingering finish of pear and jackfruit.

Personal scoring on the American Wine Society twenty point scale.
